Five distinguished alumni of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, will, at the weekend, be honoured by the global executive of the Great Ife Alumni Association at their meeting holding at Alimoso, Lagos on Saturday.

The awardees are the acting Comptroller General of Customs, Mr. Bashir Adebiyi; Managing Director of Addosser MFB, Mr. Bayo Fabiyi; Mr. Michael Olabode of RT Briscoe; Managing Director of Stylehouse, Mrs. Bolaji Akinola and Wale Olaleye, Emeritus Global Chairman, Great Ife Alumni Association 2018-2023.

The award will be presented by Mr. Fred Aburu, Global President of the association and other members of the global executive. Chairman of the Alimoso branch of the association and host of the meeting, Kunle Alli, said recognising successful alumni serves as an inspiration to current students and motivates them to strive for excellence in their own careers and endeavours.

“Great Ife Alumni Associations often give awards of excellence to recognise and celebrate the achievements of their outstanding alumni in various fields, including business,” he said.
