Billionaire businessman, philanthropist, and CEO of Diamond Leeds Ltd, High Chief Kenneth Ifekudu (Agbalanze Onyekachukwu na Ozubulu), has been honoured with another chieftaincy title in recognition of his massive philanthropy and humanitarian works in his community.
This time, he was honoured with the title of Ife Ozubulu, which means “light of Ozubulu,” by His Royal Majesty, Igwe Nnamdi Fidelis Oruche, Obi Ozubulu, in appreciation of his contributions towards raising the bar of development in Ozubulu, Anambra State.
The event took place on Dec. 31, 2024, at Ugodinobi Palace, Amakwa, Ozubulu, Ekwusigo LGA, Anambra State, and was a colourful sight to behold as sons and daughters of the community and high-profile individuals filed out to witness the happy moment.
His friends and associates from far and wide came to be part of the wonderful display of the rich cultural heritage of the people of Ozubulu.
His beautiful wife, Lolo Kenneth Ifekudu, was also crowned with a prestigious traditional title in recognition of her overwhelming support for her husband.
Agbalanze is known to have brought succour and laughter to many families in Ozubulu in particular and Anambra State in general.
Not long ago, he empowered over 100 persons with mini trucks to support their livelihood, in response to the growing economic challenges facing many families across the country, arising from the high cost of living, hyperinflation, and job losses.
Similar projects have also been carried out in the past to advance his humanitarian and philanthropic programmes, such as the construction of the Mega Ultra-Modern Market and a 2.27 km road in Ozubulu.
High Chief Ifekudu, who recently won the award of Businessman of the Year from The Sun Newspaper, has consistently demonstrated that charity begins at home, inspiring the decision to ensure that people of his community are the first beneficiaries of his empowerment programmes.
Ifekudu, who is also the Patron of the Igbo Ambassadors Club, United Kingdom, and who recently unveiled his multi-billion-naira mansion in Anambra, was last year honoured by the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers’ Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU) with the prestigious award of Man of the Year.
A holder of the national honour OFR, he has remained consistent in carrying out impactful projects in communities.
