Court remands man for allegedly defiling neighbour’s daughter
An Ikeja Chief Magistrate’s Court on Monday remanded a 31- year-old security guard, Bashiru Ibrahim in Kirikiri Correctional Centre for allegedly defiling his neighbour‘s daughter.
Ibrahim, who resides at 2, CMCM Church St., Ojodu Berger, Lagos, is charged with defilement. The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Bola Osunsanmi, did not take the plea of Ibrahim for want in jurisdiction. She directed the police to return the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for legal advice.

The chief magistrate adjourned the case until Sept. 12 for DPP advice. Earlier, the prosecutor, ASP Raji Akeem told the court that the offence was committed on June 25.
Raji said that the victim was a five-year-old girl. The offence according to the prosecutor, contravened section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
