
The Amankwo community in Inyi Ward 3, Oji River Local Council, Enugu State, has praised Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for his approach to education through the Smart Green School Project.
In a statement, the community commended the project as a crucial component of the governor’s ‘Tomorrow is Here’ agenda, which is being implemented across all 260 wards in the state. Describing the initiative as a “sustainable and technology-driven educational breakthrough,” the Amankwo community expressed gratitude for the project’s successful launch in their ward.
“This is a significant milestone in improving access to quality education. The Smart Green School Project reflects Governor Mbah’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for learning and fostering the growth of future leaders,” the statement read.
The Chairman of Okaaome Amankwo, Jude Onyebueke, lauded the governor’s prioritisation of education and inclusivity. “The Smart Green School Project is a transformative initiative that will shape the future of our children by providing access to modern learning facilities,” Onyebueke said. “We are proud to be part of this vision,” he added.
The community also highlighted other developmental strides by the governor, including ongoing street and rural road construction, the establishment of Type 2 Health Facilities, and the revival of industries such as Sunrise Flour Mills and Niger Gas.
Applauding Mbah’s commitment to even development across the state, the community expressed gratitude for his appointment of two of their members to key positions: Prof. Donald Ndubueze Mbah, Commissioner for Education, and Barr. Dame Ugochi Madueke, Commissioner for Youth and Culture.
“These appointments underscore the governor’s recognition of talents in our community,” the statement continued. “Prof. Mbah and Madueke have become exemplary Inyi representatives in Oji River Local Council. We are proud of their contributions and pledge our continued support for their work.”
Onyebueke disclosed that the community has pledged its support for the Smart Green School Project, promising to ensure its successful completion and sustainability. “We reaffirm our readiness to contribute to the governor’s developmental agenda and to ensure the project achieves its intended purpose,” he stated.
The Amankwo community also prayed for Governor Mbah’s continued success in driving unprecedented growth and development across Enugu State.
