THE Sixth Nigerian Optometric Students’ Association (NOSA) National Conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM) holds from tomorrow to Sunday at the Imo State University , Owerri.

On Thursday, the conference, with the theme ‘Optometrist Without Borders’ will feature, ‘Declaring the Event Open’ by the Special Guest of Honour, Prof. Ukachukwu Awuzie ; a Welcome Address by Dr. G.C. Agu and ‘Unveiling the Theme’ by Duru Christian.

There will also be the keynote lecture entitled: ‘Emerging Legislative Issues Regarding Optometric Practice in Nigeria’ to be delivered by Dr. Damian Echendu; a scientific session with Dr. Ken Giwa-Amu on Total Quality Management in Optometry and Dr. Ike Ibe on ‘The role of Youth in Nation Building’.

Friday will feature :”Success Nuggets’ with Prof Frank Iwuagwu and Clinicians workshop to be facilitated by Dr. Mrs. Joy Alozie, Dr. Anthony Megwas, Dr. Chibuzo Emerole and Dr. Atulegwu Wisdom. The AGM elections proper takes place on Saturday followed by Awards/Dinner Night with guests departing Sunday after Thanksgiving Service at Chapel of the Holy Spirit, Imo State University, Owerri.
