Ododo, Audu condole with ex-gov over son’s demise

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Ododo, has condoled with the former governor of the state, Ibrahim Idris, over the demise of his son, and the former member, Mohammed Idris, who represented Ankpa/Olamaboro/Omala Federal Constituency in the green chamber.

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Ododo, has condoled with the former governor of the state, Ibrahim Idris, over the demise of his son, and the former member, Mohammed Idris, who represented Ankpa/Olamaboro/Omala Federal Constituency in the green chamber.

Also, Minister of Steel Development, ShuaibuAudu, expressed sadness over the sudden death of Mohammed Idris.

In a condolence message signed by Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Ismaila Isah, the governor described the death as a tragic loss and expressed deep sympathy to the Idris family.

Ododo said the deceased was an elder brother in whom he found a worthy compatriot, noting that their last meeting was in March 2024 when he came in the company of stakeholders from Omala Local Council on a solidarity visit to him as the Governor of Kogi, during which they had useful discussions on plans for the state.

The governor urged the family to take solace in the fact that the deceased lived a life filled with worthy accomplishments as a politician and businessman.

He prayed to God to grant the former lawmaker eternal rest and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
The minister, in a condolence message by his Special Assistant on Media, Lizzy Okoji, commiserated with former Governor Ibrahim Idris, his family and the people of Kogi East over the loss.

He described the passing of the former lawmaker as a monumental loss to society, his community and Kogi where he made a tremendous impact.

The minister urged the bereaved father, Idris, to take solace in the fact that his son lived a good life, although short, and would be remembered for his service to humanity.

He also prayed God to grant the deceased Al-janah Firdaus, and his family the heart to bear the loss.

Born December 8, 1969, Mohammed Idris, who represented Ankpa/Olamaboro/Omala Federal constituency from 2011 to 2015, died on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 in Abuja at the age of 55.
