Presidency harps on peace in Benin Republic

[FILES] Speaking at an audience with the President of Benin Republic, Patrice Talon at the State House, President Muhammadu Buhari‎ emphasised the imperative of good neighbourliness, while pledging Nigeria’s support towards efforts to re-establish political stability in her western neighbour.

President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday stressed the importance of peace in neighbouring Benin Republic.During an audience with his Beninoise counterpart Patrice Talon at the State House, Abuja, the Nigerian leader emphasised the imperative of good neighbourliness, pledging the nation’s support towards efforts to restore political stability in the West African entity.

President Talon, who was in Nigeria to congratulate Buhari on his re-election and successful inauguration, also briefed him on the current political situation in the French-speaking country.
