Primate Elijah Ayodele, spiritual leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has issued a stern warning to seven Nigerian governors, cautioning that their chances of securing second-term victories in 2027 are far from assured.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele named the governors of Akwa Ibom, Delta, Enugu, Cross River, Ondo, Kaduna, and Zamfara as potentially vulnerable, unless they intensify efforts both spiritually and administratively.
“These governors must work well to get a second term in office. It’s not certain for them unless they work hard and pray. This is a hint of what they should be expecting,” Ayodele said.
He also warned Senate President Godswill Akpabio to be vigilant and prayerful, claiming his position could be “traded” if he fails to act decisively.
Furthermore, the cleric predicted that several senators and House of Representatives members may not return in 2027, and cautioned Senator Ned Nwoko of Delta State against pursuing a governorship bid, stating, “It’s not yet his time.”
