Registrar /Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria (IPAN), Aliyu Angara, yesterday, canvassed licensing to check quackery in the profession.
He said the association stands as a united force, committed to reshaping the landscape of the analytical laboratory sector and raising the bar of excellence.
Angara made the appeal at the yearly presentation of the association’s Practice Licence Stamps (PLS) in Lagos.
He said over the years, their commitment to upholding professionalism and integrity has been unwavering.
The registrar restated that members are not blind to the time-testing challenges.
“Therefore the association hopes to put those concerned to rest. With the introduction of the PLS, it would enhance transparency, accountability and an unwavering commitment to excellence in the profession,” he said.
Deputy Director. Pharmacy at the Federal Ministry of Health, Mrs. Fausat Omolara Oderinde, who represented Director Food and Drug, Olubunmi Aribeana, said the ministry was in support of IPAN to eliminate quackery from the system.
