The Rotary International District 9112 has urged its members to imbibe the magic of the club by providing selfless services that would change another person’s life for good.

District Governor of the club, Femi Adenekan, who gave the charge during his visit to Rotary Club of Lagos Central, said that the magic of Rotary “is what is done to motivate others and transform their lives.”

In his message, President of Rotary Club of Lagos Central, John Akingbade, said the members were glad to have the first DG of District 9112 and his team with them on a familiarity visit and fellowship.

He said: “As a club, established some 43 years ago, we have always been guided in our selection of projects by the Rotary’s seven areas of focus that include peace building and conflict prevention, disease prevention and treatment, among others.”

He said the club is currently conducting a need assessment of the local community to take on some projects.

Akingbade, who spoke on achievements, said the club ‘joined Rotary Club of Gbagada South and Ikeja Royale (Province) to host a ground-breaking project, a robotics competition for girls with disabilities at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, among others.’
