Sanwo-Olu, Radda to grace CIBN’s 2025 fellowship investiture

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Katsina State Dikko Umar Radda, and other eminent personalities will grace the 2025 investiture of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

The CIBN aims the programme to share insights, experiences, and best practices on leveraging technology to enhance performance and drive sustainable growth.

The event, scheduled for Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at the Banquet Hall, Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts (National Arts Theatre), Iganmu, Surulere, Lagos, will further underscore the Institute’s unwavering commitment to advancing the banking profession.

This year’s investiture will feature the conferment of Fellowship status on over 685 qualified and distinguished members who have demonstrated excellence and professionalism in the banking and finance industry.

The awardees include Bala M. Bello, Deputy Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN); Mrs. Emem Usoro, Deputy Governor, Corporate Services, CBN; Dr Mohammed Sani Abdullahi, Deputy Governor, Economic Policy, CBN; Olusegun Alebiosu, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, First Bank of Nigeria Limited; Mrs.

Adaora Umeoji, Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Zenith Bank Plc; among others.

Out of the 685 investees, 20 will be conferred honorary fellowship, 438 as elected fellows, while 227 will be admitted as honorary senior members of the Institute.

According to a statement by Head, Corporate Communications and Brand Management, CIBN, Folake Akintayo, the honour recognises the awardees’ meritorious service, professional excellence, and valuable contributions to the growth and development of the banking industry and the Nigerian economy at large.

The keynote address, titled “Banking Beyond Boundaries: Leveraging Technological Innovations for Enhanced Performance in the Nigerian Banking Industry,” will be delivered by CEO of Future Africa and Co-founder of Andela, Dr Iyinoluwa Aboyeji.
