Saudi Arabian authorities have approved the burial of Nigerian businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, in the Islamic holy city of Madina.
The announcement was made on Sunday by Dantata’s Principal Private Secretary, Mustapha Junaid, in a statement posted on Facebook. According to Junaid, the burial is scheduled to take place on Monday morning.
“Alhamdulillah… I have received approval to take Aminu Alhassan Dantata from Abu Dhabi to Madina. He will be buried tomorrow morning by the grace of Allah,” the post read.
The family had earlier disclosed that the late industrialist would be buried in Madina next to his wife, Rabi’a Dantata, who died in 2023, in accordance with his final wishes.
A special Islamic funeral prayer, *Salatul Ga’ib*, was held on Saturday in Kano in honour of the late business magnate, who died in Dubai at the age of 94. The prayer session was attended by a large number of mourners, including prominent figures such as the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin.
