Senate observes one minute silence for Akeredolu
The Senate on Saturday observed a minute silence in honour of the memory of the late Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN).
Akeredolu died at the early hours of Wednesday this week at ages 67
Motion for a minute silence for Late Ondo State Governor, was sponsored by Senator Jimoh Ibrahim ( APC Ondo South)
Senator Jimoh Ibrahim in his motion for the Senate to mourn Akeredolu and give him a minute silence, said Aketi as fondly called while alive, did his best for Ondo State in terms of infrastructure development and very responsive government policies and programmmes.
“The late Governor Akeredolu would forever be referenced in Ondo State as far as development – driven and good governance are concerned.
“The State is no doubt in mourning mood over the demise of the peoples governor,” he said.
Senators who contributed to the motion, also eulogized the virtues of the late governor which accordingly, made the Senate to give him a minute silence.
