Subsidy removal, gateway to Nigeria’s prospect, says CAC Worldwide president

Henry Ojo

President, Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Worldwide, Dr. Henry Ojo, has urged Nigerians not to be disenchanted about the decision of President Bola Tinubu to remove subsidy on petroleum products, saying that the step is a gateway to prospect for the country.

Ojo spoke, yesterday, during the 27th anniversary of Christ Apostolic Church, Arogungbogunmi International, Olomi, Ibadan, Oyo State, pastored by Prophet Richard Kolawole.

He said: “Though many people complained because they removed the subsidy on the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), I want to tell you that it is the gateway to breakthrough of this country. I have confidence in the new leadership of this country that it will take us to the next level.

“We should be praising God for the current government at the federal and state levels. Once again, I have faith that the current administration shall take us to a settled haven.”

“Majority of Nigerian citizens don’t read the newspapers and so are not informed about development in the country. We criticise without doing thorough analysis of situations, but one thing is that I am sure the government would lead us into a brighter future,” he added. He ascribed the growth of the church to good leadership and committed members.

Meanwhile, Kolawole and his wife, while expressing joy on the success of the anniversary, said: “This ministry had a small beginning but today, we have many branches across the country and abroad. So, we need to appreciate God for his kindness, goodness and mercy towards us. We didn’t lose our wives and children in the battle. We are not indebted to any mortar, so we need to appreciate God for what He has done for us.” Earlier in his sermon, Ojo harped on the need for believers to always praise God for his goodness towards mankind.
