Temvert Foundation distributes materials to Osun school

The Temvert Foundation has distributed 1000 free writing materials to the students of Anglican Commercial Grammar School in Osogbo, Osun State.

The donation of the materials took place in the school on Friday, with many of the students, teachers, and school management in attendance.

The founder of the foundation, Temitayo Olatunde, revealed that the foundation has different programmes and initiatives, and one of them is the ‘Equip the Students Project’.

Olatunde, the United Kingdom-based humanitarian, expressed his commitment to ensuring that every student has equal access to quality education.

“Any country that is devoid of quality education will be full of crime and poverty,” he said.
Olatunde further said that, through the Equip the Students Project, they plan to provide at least 10,000 school materials to students for free to make schooling easier and more successful.

“It is very important we assist those who are not privileged to afford basic school materials that are needed to make them excel as students. Our target is to ensure that about 5000 students benefit from the project,” he added.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the foundation, AbdulRasheed Adepitan Adetunji and the Temvert team engaged the students and sensitised them about the importance of education and the essence of building a community through quality education.

Adetunji stressed that quality education and the development of sustainable communities are what the foundation stands for.

“Our core goal is to make quality education accessible to everyone. And one of our activities, this project, is one of the ways we provide quality writing materials to students,” he said.

The Vice Principal (Academics) of the school, Mrs Fashore, appreciated the foundation’s gesture and encouraged them to do more for students, teachers and schools.

“We are happy and it is our prayer that you continue to grow from strength to strength. We want more of this. We want others to emulate Temvert Foundation by promoting education,” Mrs Fashore said.

The students thanked the organisation and requested they come often to gift them more.
