The Osun State Police Command has said it arrested three suspects for allegedly breaching the ongoing dusk-to-dawn curfew imposed on some warring communities in Osun State by Governor Ademola Adeleke.
This was disclosed in a statement made available on Monday by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state command, Adeola Adeoye.
Recall that Governor Adeleke had declared a 24-hour curfew on Ifon-Osun, Ilobu, and Erin-Osun communities of the state over deadly clashes regarding a land dispute.
Following killings, arson, and willful destruction of other property, Adeoye said the state Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Abba, had ordered the deployment of officers and men to the warring areas in order to restore peace, law, and order in accordance with its primary duty of protecting residents and their belongings.

He stated that the Command, in collaboration with personnel of other sister security agencies, would do everything humanly possible to prevent further bloodshed and breakdown of law and order through strict enforcement of the 24-hour curfew declared by the governor.
“So far, three (3) suspects have been arrested for breaching the curfew, armed with a Dane gun. A thorough investigation will be conducted, and the suspects will be charged to court for prosecution accordingly.
“The Command is equally monitoring the situation closely with a view to fishing out all the troublemakers and their sponsors to ensure that they face the wrath of the law,” the police image maker said.
