Tinubu on his return from the G20 Summit in Brazil

President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja after attending the 19th G20 Leaders’ Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The President’s aircraft landed at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at approximately 10:20 p.m. local time.

During the summit, Tinubu endorsed a global alliance to combat hunger and poverty, highlighting its importance to global development.

He also met with Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), who commended Nigeria’s recent economic reforms and noted their emerging positive impacts.

In addition, President Tinubu witnessed the signing of a $2.5 billion Letter of Intent between Nigeria and JBS S.A., a leading Brazilian meat processing company, symbolising a significant boost in bilateral economic collaboration.
