Tinubu will win 2027 election without stress – Maseko

Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Durosinmi Maseko, has said President Ahmed Bola Tinubu will sail through the 2027 general elections without stress and will come out victorious.

Maseko maintained that the victory is already guaranteed considering the superlative performances of Mr. President so far.

Hon. Maseko made this known in Lokoja while briefing newsmen after a critical stakeholders’ meeting of leaders of Bunu District of Kabba Bunu LGA of Kogi State.

The APC chieftain disclosed that the meeting was to engage the stakeholders on mobilizing the people of the district to get registered in the ongoing voter registration, as well as to demand more infrastructure for the district.

Maseko, who highlighted several socio-economic and security reforms within the last two years, noted that President Tinubu inherited an economy that was in comatose and expressed appreciation that the country is now on the path of prosperity.

He urged Nigerians to have faith in the APC-led administration, pointing out that as challenging as it may look for the common man, very soon, it will translate to improved welfare for the people.

Maseko described the just-concluded by-election held across the country as a mock test for 2027, pointing out that the margin of lead by the APC is an indication that 2027 is a done deal for the party and President Tinubu.

He called on Nigerians to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration to get registered, maintaining that their votes are their power.

He lauded the leadership of Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo in the state for following in the footsteps of the president, saying that, thus far, Kogi State has been repositioned for good governance and development.

Similarly, the meeting looked at the security situation in Bunu land, lauding Gov Ododo for his proactiveness in stemming the insecurity situation.

Also speaking, the State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara, said the meeting was to brainstorm on how Bunu District will gain prominence in the political scheme ahead of 2027, adding that the Ododo administration has made the welfare of Bunu District a top priority.

The state security adviser said, “Gov. Ododo has successfully tamed the issues of terrorism and banditry in Kogi State. The governor never allows any space for bandits and other criminals to converge anywhere across the state. And that achievement was possible due to the support and encouragement of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

“In spite of that, we are not resting on our oars; we will continue to do what we are doing to keep criminals far away from Kogi State.”

He urged residents of the state to take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise and obtain the right to participate in elections.
