Commissioner for Youths, Imo State, Dr. Emeka Mandela and Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Imo State council, Comr. Ifeanyi Nwanguma have said the visit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the state would spur youths development and socio-economic growth of the state.

Mandela and Nwanguma stated this while interacting with newsmen at the official launch of the book, written by Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, titled, ” A decade of Impactful Progressive Governance in Nigeria”, held in Owerri, the State capital on Tuesday.

They also applauded Mr. President and Governor Uzodinma for their visionary leadership and development driven governance at both the federal and state levels, adding Imo State under Uzodimma leadership has witnessed significant democracy dividends despite security challenges.

According to Imo youths Commissioner, there is no doubt that Mr. President’s to our dear state has enormous socio-economic benefits. Also, it is a fact that Imo has gained significantly from the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

He said, “Lucky enough, Imo has Governor Hope Uzodimma who has so far demonstrated genuine commitment to economic growth and overall development of the state through his visionary leadership and impactful governance.

This can be seen in his laudable infrastructural achievements, landmark policies and programmes for a progressive and prosperous Imo State.

“Imo journalists are happy to receive President Tinubu to Imo State. We are aware of the socio-economic potentials this his visit brings to the state. And we hope that Imolites will explore the opportunity of this auspicious visit for positive gains.

“For me, this Mr. President’s visit is timely and a testament that Imo is safe again. And we join every well-meaning Imo citizens to congratulate our governor for the successful hosting of Mr. President and many other prominent personalities across the country including state governors, top political actors among others in the state.

“Indeed, courtesy of the leadership ingenuity of Governor Hope Uzodinma, peace and stability are restored in the state. We commend him for his fervent support and commitment to the general well-being of Imo citizens including media practitioners in the state.”

President Tinubu arrived Imo around 11pm and after commissioning some recent infrastructure projects of the state government, including new Asumpta/Control Post Flyover, newly reconstructed Concorde Hotel, Owerri/Mbaise/Obowo/Umuahia Express road, he proceeded to the newly built Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre, EIICC, Owerri, venue of the book launch.
