The documents included the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Forms EC8b2, EC8b and EC8C2, and a summary of comprehensive results of Njikoka, Dunukofia and Aniocha local councils, which constitute the constituency.

Counsel to INEC, CB Anyaigbo, Osinachi Nwoye for second respondent (Dr. Nnamdi Eze of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Chuma Ogwuejiofor for the third respondent (PDP) objected to admitting the documents on the grounds that they were not listed as part of the documents to be tendered.

However, counsel to Nwankwo, Dr. Joshua Olatoke (SAN), countered the objections on the ground that they were frivolous and mere attempts to waste the tribunal’s time. Upholding his argument, chairman of the tribunal, Justice Nayai Aganaba, ruled that the documents be admitted as exhibits.
