The United States (U.S.) has said that it is impressed with the growth rate of Rivers State economy and eager to key into the untapped potentials.
It noted that with robust partnership between it and Rivers State government, they both stand a chance of benefitting tremendously.
The U.S. Consul-General to Nigeria, Mr. Will Stevens, gave the indication when he spoke with journalists after Governor Nyesom Wike conducted him round some critical projects that are being prepared for commissioning in the state.
A statement by Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Kelvin Ebiri, stated that the projects inspected included Dr. Nabo Graham Douglas Campus of the Nigerian Law School, completed within 12 calendar months and ready for commissioning in November 2022.
Also inspected was the Dr. Peter Odili Cancer and Cardiovascular Disease Diagnostic and Treatment Centre, also billed to be commissioned in November 2022.
Stevens said the brand new specialist hospital was clearly a world-class facility with world-class equipment.
“It is heartening to see so many U.S. companies well represented here. It is really a testimony of the impact that U.S. technology is having in Nigeria and around the world as we work together to save lives,” he said.
