LOUIS Van Gaal has clashed with Manchester United’s owners after he scrapped part of the Red Devils’ pre-season tour this summer.

Last year, United travelled to both the East and West coast of America in their pre-season preperations, but according to the Mirror, Van Gaal has insisted his side will only play three games on one coast this summer.

The Dutchman is very close to getting his own way after disagreeing with United’s owners, the Glazers.

Van Gaal was not impressed with the number of games his side had to play in last year along with the coast-to-coast travelling and is determined to cut back on the summer itinerary.

With full details of this summer’s tour yet to be completed, the final draft has yet to get Van Gaal’s approval.

The Red Devils met LA Galaxy, Roma, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Liverpool on both coasts in 12 days in 2014.

But while the Dutchman is in charge, he will not allow his players to be subjected to a large amount of pre-season games.
