The Bishop, Diocese of Lagos Mainland, Reverend Akinpelu Johnson has stated that hard work and perseverance are critical ingredients to getting Nigeria back on track and into prosperity.

Speaking, yesterday, at the feast of reunion and anniversary gala, tagged: ‘Glorifying God’s Faithfulness’ to mark Cathedral Church of Saint Jude’s 150 anniversary, in Lagos, the cleric was optimistic that there would be a new dawn for the nation in a short while.

The bishop disclosed that Nigeria like the church, has impacted many lives, yet had suffered despair and despondence, reason Nigeria should learn from the church.

On his part, the Dean of the Cathedral, Venerable Feyi Ojelabi noted that perseverance, service and commitment are parts of the things that kept the church going. He therefore enjoined Christians to be committed to God, as it is the key to living a victorious life.
