Yoruba Youth Council passes vote of confidence on Kyari’s leadership
The Yoruba Youth Council (YYC) has passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari, for the company’s achievements in the oil sector.
The company’s daily crude oil production has increased to 1.8 million barrels, a significant milestone with great implications for Nigeria’s economic future.
YYC attributed this success to the enabling environment fostered by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
Comrade Eric Oluwole, President of YYC, praised Kyari’s commitment to advancing Nigeria’s oil sector, describing it as noteworthy.
Oluwole also welcomed the strategic changes in key leadership positions, including the appointment of Mr. Adedapo Segun as Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Isiyaku Abdullahi as Executive Vice President Downstream, and Mr. Udobong Ntia as Executive Vice President Upstream.
The YYC expressed confidence in NNPCL’s commitment to operational excellence, financial sustainability, and global competitiveness, which will strengthen Nigeria’s position in the global oil and gas industry.
“We commend President Tinubu for fostering an enabling environment that has allowed NNPCL to achieve these feats. We also recognize the leadership of Mr. Kyari for his commitment to advancing Nigeria’s oil sector.”
