YouthHubAfrica tasks new board members on addressing evolving needs of African Youths
YouthHubAfrica has charged its newly appointed board members on new initiatives that can address the evolving needs of African youths.
YouthHub Program Office Manager, Segun Modupin, gave this charge in a statement issued yesterday in Abuja on the unveiling of the new board members.
According to Modupin, the new board will steer the organization towards greater impact and inspiring change on the continent.
“Their guidance will strengthen our existing programs and inspire the development of new initiatives that address the evolving needs of African youth.
“At YouthHubAfrica, our mission has always been to create opportunities and foster an enabling environment for African youth to thrive. The addition of these exceptional board members reinforces our commitment to this cause and sets the stage for an exciting future”, Modupin said.
According to Modupin, Bukky Shonibare, the founder and executive Director of Invictus Africa who is known for her active involvement in campaigns and advocacies aimed at advancing human rights, gender equality, women’s political representation and quality basic education will lead the board as the chairperson.
While the Executive Director, Rotimi Olawale, joined the board as a Public Policy Expert with a primary focus on youth development, Professor Cristina D’Alessandro assumed a critical role as a board member, responsible for statistical cooperation with Sub-Saharan Africa at the French national statistical institute (Insee).
Sola Fagorusi, an adept development sector professional currently spearheads the operations of Onelife Initiative was also mentioned as a board member that will play a vital role in shaping initiatives for the youth.
Ola Omosebi, a management and development consultant and a prolific public speaker was picked to be a guiding force in advancing the organization communication and outreach efforts.
“YouthHubAfrica also welcomes Ange Umutoni, a passionate pharmacist and graduate with honors from a leading pharmacy school at the University of Rwanda. Her dedication to improving healthcare outcomes in her community aligns with the organization’s commitment to promoting well-being and health among the youth.
“Debra Anditi Ajwang, the company Secretary and Head of Legal at Development Bank of Kenya, adds a legal perspective and strategic acumen to our board. Her background in law and arbitration strengthens our governance and compliance efforts.
“Damilola Anwo-Ade, the visionary founder of CodeIT Africa, brings considerable hands-on, client-facing, project-based experience in the NGO sector. Her expertise and insights will be instrumental in furthering our technological and skill-building endeavors.
“Danielle Soba, a project management professional, brings her passion for community-centered development to the board. Her strengths in capacity-building will aid in maximizing our social impact and community outreach.
“We are delighted to welcome our new board members, each of whom brings unique expertise and passion to the table. Together, these exceptional individuals will work closely with our team and the wider YouthHubAfrica community to ensure that our efforts are grounded in inclusivity, relevance and sustainability”, Modupin added.
