APC vows to reclaim mandate from PDP in 2027

The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has vowed to reclaim what it described as its stolen mandate from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2027 general elections.

APC Publicity Secretary, Mallam Yusuf Idris Gusau, in a statement, accused the PDP-led administration of failing to meet the expectations of the electorate.

He said the government had failed to fulfill its campaign promise to end banditry within three months of assuming office, adding that insecurity in the state has worsened.

“The PDP government is not sincere about ending banditry. Even the governor has admitted that the situation is deteriorating daily,” Gusau said.

He assured party supporters that the APC was determined to unseat Governor Dauda Lawal in 2027 despite the power of incumbency.

“All moves to keep the governor in office beyond 2027 must be resisted. We are confident the voters will pass their judgment,” he stated.

Gusau also criticized what he described as the state government’s engagement with bandit leaders, saying the security situation had gone beyond control.

He urged APC supporters to remain loyal, describing the party as the only hope for addressing the state’s political, social, and economic challenges.
