A former National President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Chinonso Obasi, has been appointed as the Deputy National Youth Leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
This was contained in a statement signed by Obasi’s Personal Assistant on Media, Samson Gbemiga.
The statement was upbeat that the former student leader would utilise his previous positions, including NANS President, Regional Coordinator for the South-South and Southeast, as well as Pioneer President of the Nigerian Youth Union (NYU), to galvanise the party to victory in the 2027 general election.
He also represented Nigerian students at the 2014 National Confab.
“A seasoned youth development consultant and humanitarian, Obasi is known for his boundless benevolence and commitment to youth advocacy.
“Born on 27th April 1987, he hails from Ebonyi State. He is happily married to Hannah Chinonso, and together they have three children.
“Obasi has also served as a member of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council in 2015, 2019, and 2023. His wealth of experience, professionalism, and strong youth following are expected to play a significant role in his new assignment.
“He holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering,” the statement reads.
