Group decries Tinubu’s failure to address national issues

President Bola Tinubu has been chided for allegedly failing to address pressing issues confronting the nation, which have resulted in hardship.

A support group of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, the Nigeria Youth for Atiku (NYFA), stated this, in a statement, yesterday.

Director of Publicity of NYFA, Dare Dada, who highlighted the issues to include soaring food inflation, fuel scarcity, electricity tariff hike, international passport price increase, unemployment, healthcare and education crises, economic stagnation, and rising insecurity, said: “Tinubu’s handling of the #EndBadGovernance protests was particularly disappointing, as people expected a speech of hope but were met with his unconcerned disposition.

“Nigerians have been treated like pawns in a chess game, manipulated at will. His emergence has brought embarrassment to the nation, with the recent seizure of national assets across the world under his watch.”

“Meanwhile, he has been busy junketing across the world with nothing to show for it. The APC government has brought nothing but suffering to Nigerians, with no citizen able to afford even a square meal comfortably.”

He said that under President Tinubu’s leadership, Nigeria had experienced declining economic growth, increased poverty, lack of investment in critical sectors, and rising insecurity.

According to him, instead, the NYFA has endorsed Atiku Abubakar, a seasoned leader with a proven track record and clear vision for Nigeria’s future, to contest in 2027.

He said that Atiku’s wealth of experience was required at this critical time to safe the collective sinking ship.
