The parties that took part in the process include the African Alliance, AA; Accord Party, AP; African Democratic Congress, ADC; African Progressives Movement, APM and AAC.

According to the KANSIEC boss, the Saturday council poll was held in a conducive atmosphere where the electorates turned out en mass to exercise their franchise.
