Ondo election: INEC uploads 94% of results on iREV

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded 94.13 per cent of the results from the Ondo State Governorship election to its result viewing portal.

Out of the 3,933 polling units, 3,702 have their results uploaded and made available online as of 7:56 pm on Saturday, the day of the election.

Earlier, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ondo State, Oluwatoyin Babalola, told newsmen that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) recorded a 97 per cent success rate in the ongoing election.

She disclosed this while monitoring the election at some centres in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

She was accompanied by the National Commissioner of INEC, Kenneth Onyeakwu, and the Commissioner of Police in Ondo State, Oladipo Abayomi.

According to Babalola, the election has been running smoothly, adding that polls were opened very early with impressive voter turnout.

She also expressed confidence that the election will be concluded without issues.
