The Patriots inaugurates zonal committees

Chief Emeka Anyaoku-led group of eminent Nigerians, popularly known as The Patriots, has inaugurated zonal advocacy committees across the six geopolitical zones of the country towards the actualisation of a new Constitution for Nigeria.

Chief Emeka Anyaoku-led group of eminent Nigerians, popularly known as The Patriots, has inaugurated zonal advocacy committees across the six geopolitical zones of the country towards the actualisation of a new Constitution for Nigeria.
  
The Patriots confirmed the development in a statement signed by the National Chairman of Patriots’ Strategy and Advocacy Committee on Constitutional Reform of Nigeria, Prof Anthony Kila, and National Secretary of the committee, Dr Bilikisu Magoro.
   


According to the statement, the advocacy has been devolved to the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria with members from each state and diverse groups in each zone.
  
While inaugurating the People’s Constitution Strategy and Advocacy Committee in August, the Chairman of The Patriots, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, said the committee would be reaching out to various sectors of the peoples and citizens of the country for buy-in and support towards actualising the agenda.

Members of the zonal committees are North Central: Abubakar Ibrahim Azara, Dr Olubunmi Usim-Wilson, Dr Helen Adebakin, Hajiya Amina Saleh Jambo,  Dr Mike Omeri, Muhammad Abdullahi Mabdul, Chief Segun Olawoyin and Gen. Jon Temlong. 
  
North East: Dr Tafawa Balewa, Dr Umar Bindir, Mallam Samaila Karagama,  Sen. George Anthony Manzo, Yakubu Musa Damagun, Salihu Lukman Abubakar and Sa’ad Abdullahi.
  


NorthWest: Dr Ben Dikki, Mark Jacobs, Charity Stephen Shekari, Baffa Saleh Hadejia, Prof Ibrahim Garba, and Hamisu Santuraki.
  
South-South: Affiong Affiong,  Prof Prosper Ayawei, Obongawan Barbara Etim James, Deacon Chris Iyovwaye,  Chief Paul Omoijiade, Madam Anniko Briggs,  Chief Fafaa Dan-Princewill, Ejiro Ofoye, and Mr Denzil Kentebe.
  
South-East: Mr Madu Bright Alwell, Mr Ikechukwu Amaechi, Chief  Ify Ezenwa, Joe Atuyi, Mr Malizu Chwudum Paul, Chike Igbokwe, Dr Sam Amadi, Joe Nwokedi, Uche Onyeagocha, Monday Ubani, and Chief Loretta Aniagolu.
  
South West: Prof Remi Sonaya, Dr Akin Fapohunda, Dr Sina Fagbenro-Byron, Dr Yinka Olarinmoye, Jellili Amusan, Oke-Are Aina, Mr Semiu Okanlawon, Mr Habib Aruna and Mogaji Gboyega Adejumo.
  
The zonal committees have also been given powers to co-opt members, who may be find useful to their terms of reference.
