
Surveyor-General of the Federation (SGoF), Abuduganiyu Adebomehin has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to approve the release of a special fund to enable them transmit documents/records to the cloud storage system.
Adebomehin made the plea at the presentation to facilitate the Service Wide Personnel Management System Implementation Handholding Exercise for the members of management and staff at the Survey House in Abuja.
He explained that they are vital assets for Nigeria, and are enormous and needed to be secured in the storage system, regretting that its installation has been stalled due to dearth of funds needed to carry out the process.
The SGoF commended the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan for the ongoing reforms of the civil and public service, stressing that a committee on transition to cloud storage system has been constituted.
The committee will be chaired by Director, Department of Infrastructure, Mrs. Sally Ekagbo.
Members are Director Survey Intelligence, Emmanuel Nwankama; Acting Director Geodesy, Danlandi Abubakar Ebune. They include Heads of Department, Planning, Research and Documentation, Sylvester Obiajulu Okafor.
The members include Special Duties, Chukwuemeka Nwogu; Survey Coordination, Semiu Akani Ayinde and Internal Boundary, Duniya Magaji.
Others are International Boundary, Malim Yiringau; Photogrammetry and Remote-Sensing, Afeez Azeez; Cartography and Geographic Information System (GIS), Sunday Adefarati; Hydrography, Adedayo Adesope; Geospatial Engineering, Idakwo Abubakar Danlami and Commercials and Business, Damilola Olokeogun.
