Now in its 53rd year globally, the Veuve Clicquot Bold Woman Award continues to honour visionary women who redefine leadership and pave the way for future generations. Since its inception in 1972, the award has grown into a worldwide recognition platform, spotlighting bold women in 27 countries.

2025 Veuve Clicquot Bold Woman Award Recipient: Remi Martins-Johnson, Founder and CEO of Texture Science Lab

Remi Martins-Johnson, recipient of the 2025 Bold Woman Award in Nigeria, is the Founder and CEO of Texture Science Lab, a pioneering beauty and wellness company focused on developing science-driven solutions tailored for African hair and skin.

Through Texture Science Lab, Remi has combined innovation and research to create products that celebrate and support natural African textures, while advancing inclusivity in the global beauty industry. Beyond her entrepreneurial achievements, she is dedicated to building opportunities for women in STEM and driving conversations around representation in science and innovation.

“Boldness is standing firm in your vision, even when the odds seem insurmountable. It is about leading with purpose and creating a pathway for others to follow,” says Remi. Her recognition underscores her role as a powerful voice for innovation, leadership, and empowerment in Nigeria.

2025 Veuve Clicquot Bold Future Award Recipient: Funmilola Aderemi & Teniola Tunde-Oni, Co-founders of PharmaRun

For the first time in Nigeria, the Bold Future Award was presented to Funmilola Aderemi and Teniola Tunde-Oni, co-founders of PharmaRun, a digital health-tech startup transforming how Nigerians access medication.

PharmaRun bridges the critical gap between patients, pharmacies, and healthcare providers by using technology to deliver safe, affordable, and reliable access to essential drugs. Their platform tackles systemic challenges in Nigeria’s health sector — from delays in drug availability to high costs — while empowering pharmacies to scale their services more efficiently.

Funmilola and Teniola’s entrepreneurial journey reflects boldness, resilience, and impact. By harnessing technology to reimagine healthcare delivery, they are not only addressing an urgent social need but also reshaping the future of health in Africa.

“Being bold is daring to innovate in spaces where people say change is impossible,” says Funmilola.
“Boldness means building with the people in mind and ensuring that every solution creates access, dignity, and hope,” adds Teniola.

Celebrating Boldness and Connection

Speaking at the ceremony, Leye Adeniji, General Manager, Moët Hennessy Nigeria, said: “The Bold Woman Award is not just about celebrating achievement—it is about recognising women who are leading change, building legacies, and shaping the future of business in Nigeria and beyond. We are proud to honour Remi, Teniola, and Funmilola as part of this global community of bold leaders.”

The 2025 edition was a celebration of connection and community, highlighting the influence of women who are breaking barriers and inspiring others to rise. Guests enjoyed an evening that reflected Veuve Clicquot’s commitment to empowering female entrepreneurs, alongside performances and reflections from past award winners.
