Ahudiyannem tackles OISA FC as national play-off begins

The national play-off of the 2025 President Federation Cup will kickoff today with giant killers, Ahudiyannem FC of Abiriba, Abia State, tackling Imo State’s OISA FC at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

Ahudiyannem, against all predictions, defeated former African champions, Enyimba and Abia Warriors, to win the 2025 Abia State FA Cup. Now the team from the Bende division of Abia State has been given an opportunity to test their might against other champions from across the country, beginning with OISA FC.
 
In the other matches, Akwa Ibom State representatives, Eagle Eye FC will travel to Owerri to battle with E-World of Cross River State, while De Sapele Lions will be up against Edo State’s church boys, Assemblies of God FC at the Awka Township Stadium.
 
In Jalingo, El-Shama FC of Gombe will meet with Velvot Academy of Adamawa State, just Technobat FC of Taraba Flight FC of Benue) in Jos, while Gujba Academy of Yobe State are pitted against CP Strikers of Borno in Gombe.
 
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, is the venue for the North-Central clash involving
Kogi Central Local Council and Harmony FA of Niger State.
 
In Osogbo, Sunshine Stars (U-19 team) of Akure will battle with Ekiti State’s COPDEM FC, Simon Ben FC of Kaduna will meet with Zamfara United in Katsina, while Discovery Talent Academy of Kebbi are up against Sokoto North FC in Minna.
 
The only game in the women’s category will hold in Aba, where Ebonyi girls, First Mahi Babes will confront Enugu’s Queen of Softlanding.
 
According to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), any team that fails to appear for their game will pay an N1 million fine, while failure to redeem the fine will lead to a two-year ban from the competition.
