The Flying Eagles have retained the WAFU B U-20 Cup they won in 2021 after defeating bitter rivals, Ghana 2-1 in the final of this yearon Wednesday.

The Nigerian side dominated their Ghanaian counterparts at the Stade de Kegue in Lome, Togo and eventually won the game courtesy of a brace from Kparobo Arierhi.

The first of his two goals arrived in the 35th minute, with Arierhi finishing off a flowing move after which the Beyond Limits FA product doubled the lead just before halftime.

Ghana failed to give up as they pulled a goal back in the second half. They however, could not get the equaliser, handing the Flying Eagles their well-deserved victory which helped them to retain their title.
