The league was originally planned to kick off on October 28, but the NNL said in a statement that it had to be postponed to enable clubs to conclude registration for the new season.
According to the NNL, the board took into cognisance some of the teams’ inability to meet the October 25 registration deadline for various reasons in taking the decision.
The statement explained that with the latest development, clubs are now advised to conclude their registration on November 3, 2023, noting that once registration is concluded, the NNL would fit a new date for the league kickoff.
