• Ready to cheer Eagles to victory
The Federal Government decision to fulfill its promise of bestowing national honours, allocate houses and plots of land to members of the Super Eagles will serve as a big morale boost to the team at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, chairman of the Unified Supporters Club, Vincent Okumagba, has said. 
 
The Super Eagles’ camp reported on Monday that the players have received their national honours’ certificates alongside housing and land allocations, rewards tied to their runner-up finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire. 
  
Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Shehu Dikko, met the team in their Fes, Morocco camp to present the house certificates to the players ahead of yesterday’s Africa Cup of Nations Group C opening game against Tanzania.
 
Okumagba told The Guardian on phone from Morocco that such fulfillment of the rewards would ginger the players and their officials to put in their best in Morocco.
  
On the presence of the Supporters Club in Morocco, Okumagba said that the group would ensure maximum support for the Super Eagles as they battle to win their fourth AFCON title.
 
The Supporters Club arrived in Morocco in batches on Monday and Tuesday.
    
“We have resolved to work together with the National Sports Commission to ensure the Super Eagles do well in Morocco.  
 
“Some of us arrived here on Monday, but the bulk of our members left Lagos on Tuesday and some others are coming in on Thursday on the bill of the NSC. Even if those coming Tuesday could not arrive early before the match against Tanzania, we have mobilised our members in Morocco to be on ground. They are coming from Casablanca to join us. We have free tickets and t-shirts for them.”
  
He thanked the NSC leadership for supporting their movement to Morocco, assuring Nigerians that the Supporters Club members are united under one umbrella to sing and drum the Super Eagles to victory.
