CLE Commends UNIABUJA On Law Student’s Feat
THE Council of Legal Education (CLE) has commended the management of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) over the achievement of one its law graduates, who performed exceptionally well at the final Bar Examination.
Secretary to CLE, Mrs. Elizabeth Max-Uba, in a letter to the Vice Chancellor, UNIABUJA, Prof. Michael Adikwu, said Sani Fatima Bombom, earned a First Class honours degree in the May 2015 final Bar Examination, which was a testimony to hard work and discipline.
Deputy Registrar (Information) of the institution, Waziri Garba, in a statement said the council enjoined the university management to publicise Bombom’s achievement to its law students to motivate them.
It would be recalled that students of the faculty emerged second in a 20-nation international law students’ competition held at the College of Law, Nebraska University, Lincoln, United States, in April.
The students emerged first in the country and were the only African students in the international consultation competition, tied in the second position with their counterparts from Georgia.
England/Wales emerged winners of the 2015 edition of the competiton.
Commenting on the students’ achievement, Adikwu said the university management would continue to create an enabling environment for serious-minded academics and students to realise their potentials.
