
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has honoured the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Scientific Equipment Development Institute (SEDI), Enugu, Prof Samuel Ndubisi.
Ndubisi according to the students’ body has used his office to touch humanity through the promotion of education and assisting youths gain employment in the country.
Presenting the award, NANS National President, Tijiani Usman described Ndubisi as a ‘torch bearer, who leads by example in Nigeria.’ He said his conduct and character in both public and private life is devoid of corruption or any criminal act.”
He noted that his contributions, so far, in the area of education and assisting youths in securing employment is the yardstick used to nominate him for the national honour.
“Many dignitaries were nominated in which Ndubisi is also included. His selfless services to Nigeria and humanity have placed him as the most favoured to win the Nigerian Students’ Award, titled ‘Education Developer Of Our Time.”
Usman, who was accompanied by other executive members of the association, said that NANS sees Ndubisi as a man of integrity, a person that understands and embodies the core value and aspiration of our abiding quest for unity, peace, mutual respect and peaceful co-existence.
Responding, Ndubisi said he would continue to strive to promote virtues that would impact positively on the lives of youths, stressing that any country that toyed with the future of its youths is doomed. He challenged the students to continue to exhibit conduct that would promote unity and love, as well as support government’s efforts in moving the country forward.
