NIIT drives workforce development using new technology

The National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT) has offered new skills to students; working class and aspirational youths to reduce deficiency and unemployment challenge in Nigeria.
This is a proactive approach to the changing workforce as nearly 75 million jobs are expected to be displaced globally due to the shift in the division of labor between humans and machines.
In this age of digital transformation, NIIT has been quick to perceive the arrival of this new phase in the history of human evolution, and recognised early the criticality of preparing people power for Industry 4.0.
Head, Products and Delivery (Emerging Markets), Pankaj Sharma, said the fourth industrial revolution will transform industrial production.
He added that the new technology revolution will automate, gather, analyse and exchange data across machines, enabling efficient decisions making processes.
