Zubby Michael Vs Timini Egbuson: When Two Adults Play Like Kids
THE raging war of words between Nollywood actors, Zubby Michael and Timini Egbuson, on who is the “best actor in Africa”, aside from being needless and childish, has exposed what really goes on in the minds of some of these entertainers. Zubby Michael said in a TV reality show recently: “I was coming from Paris and we had to do this thing in the festivals, obviously being the best actor in Africa… I have been acting for about 13 years now and I’ve won awards. I’ve done everything basically and I believe I am the best.”

“Stop f**king playing, he’s kidding. It’s not coming from a place of pride but I’m the biggest actor in Africa.”
“Let me tell you why I’m bigger than Timini, if Timini crosses Sagamu, nobody knows him and I’m not abusing you. Your fame ends in Lekki but I’ve conquered the YouTube market, the DVD market, and now cinemas.”
Timini, in his response, said: “You literally act the same character in every movie my bro. How can you be bigger than me?”
Zubby said: “Again, it’s not coming from a place of pride o, but I can buy Timini.”
Timini retorted: “I did not know enough about Michael to make such a statement.”

Truly, Zubby Michael, T4T knows very well even though like Timini said, he plays the same character in every movie (that one nor be lie at all), but give it to him, he has made a big name for himself in the industry, but who is Timini Egbuson? T4T had to Google him all over and yes, he has done some works too but if an award for the “Best Actor in Africa” is to be given to one of them, it will be Zubby Michael. Wait o, I hope Timini’s Pere role in A Tribe Called Judah is not the one shacking him o. That movie is just like another middle class Nollywood home video despite it being reputed to be the highest grossing Nigeria movie. With its shallow depth, A Tribe Called Judah should not shack any actor who played the role of a petty thief and pickpocket.

Conclusion : Zubby Michael and Timini Egbuson should shift to one corner. We have bigger fishes to fry in this country at the moment especially with the biting economic situation, nor be to dey listen to two small adults bickering over an infantile issue.

When Asake Did Not Do Unto Others,
What He Wants Others To Do Unto Him
T4T is not a religious person, in fact, he does not go to any religious gathering, but he can recall a portion of the Bible that admonishes one to “do unto others what you want others to do unto you.” Afro pop artiste, Asake, is a Muslim, so, one can conveniently say he may not have heard or read that portion of the bible. But scholars who have read both the Bible and Quran have repeatedly said both holy books virtually preach same doctrines. So, it can also be argued that Asake may have come across something similar like the above portion in his holy book, the Quran.

So, why did he shoot a video where he and all characters in it wore a Christian priest’s cassocks? Not that T4T gives a hoot, but will people of his religion take it if a Nigerian artiste who is a Christian wears the robe of an Alfa or Imam in a music video? Some couple of months ago, Davido posted a video of one of his artistes on X and a mosque was used as a location, hell nearly came down! Death threats were flying upandan on Davido’s head and he had to immediately pull the video down. And now, Asake believes nobody will threaten him in Nigeria even if he portrays the Pope in a music video and so brazenly did what he did. T4T cannot independently verify if he has pulled down the video but there is no news to that effect. But some Christians have literally drawn their swords out and not because they care really, but just to send a message to Asake and his likes that what they and their people can’t take, they should not serve others.

If Asake allows the little stardom he has achieved so far get into his head and begins to trample on the religious belief of others while he and his likes forcefully protect their own, he is in a for a long ride in the entertainment industry.

Give It To ‘King’ Portable, Ika Of Africa!
WHEN Portable aka Zazzu launched his music career, many including T4T were of the opinion that he would fizzle out in a matter of months. I was wrong.

Zazzu, from one controversy to the other, has been able to build his unique brand even when his style is ‘rabo rabo rabo’. From his first hit, ‘Zazzu’ made popular by super star Olamide, Portable has been going from strength to strength. But his latest song, Tony Montana, featuring UK star, Septa, has shown that Portable, in the middle of his ‘ra ra ra’ behaviour knows what he is doing. By the way, how on earth did he get to know that Skepta abi na Septa guy? T4T needs an answer, but then, that young man got swag and style and he brought those qualities into Tony Montana. And for the first time, Zazzu actually sang like a human being (as if he has been singing like a spirit before now). T4T watched the Tony Montana video three times and concluded that Portable got this one right.

Trust your guy, he has been ranting that going forward, any Nigerian artiste who wants him for a collaboration “must buy me a car first.”
Zazzu will never change and the only prayer now is that he does not quarrel and fight with this UK artiste very soon because e nor dey tay am to see who either wan rip am or who don rip am.
Let us pray!
