I’m not really one to wear a lot of makeup, but sometimes I do have to pile on the foundation and powder and such. Sadly, being an albino, it’s not exactly easy finding the right foundation match for my skin tone here. I got the L’Oreal Paris True Match Foundation as a gift from smeone I worked with last year and this problem for me has gone away.
The L’Oreal Paris True Match Foundation is part of the True Match collection from L’Oreal Paris that offers superblendable, true-to-you shades that precisely match your skin’s texture and tone. The collection works by using your skin tone and undertone to determine your “true match”.

Using the L’Oreal Paris True Match Foundation
My L’Oreal Paris True Match Foundation shade is C3, which is a creamy natural. My favourite thing about this foundation is that it has SPF 17. A bit low for me, but then every little bit helps. I like to think it adds to the sun block I already use which is like SPF 30. The bottle looks small and you feel like it won’t last, but a little bit of this foundation goes a long way.
Would you believe I just dipped the tip of my index finger into the cap of the bottle for the amount of product used in the swatch above? It’s very concentrated, so you want to be careful when applying. The product is also very easy to blend out and gives light to medium coverage depending on how much you use.
Here, I’ve blended out the foundation a little bit. Because I put a lot of it (sorry), it still looks really dark in the middle. But notice how the edges are blending more with my skin. You also need to blend this quickly because it dries fast. The formula is very light and easy to blend so you can use either your finger, a blending foam, or a brush.
The above picture is what it looks like properly blended out. As you can see, it’s only a little bit darker than my skin tone. When we got this shade at the store, it was the closest to my skin tone they had available. After I took a quick quiz on the L’Oreal site, I found another shade which might be better suited for my skin tone. This works fine for me though, because it gives great coverage and feels very light.
In summary, I totally recommend this foundation for those who want something that’s easy to use, affordable, and light. It works really well if you’re going for a natural, no-makeup make-up look.
A couple of stores on Konga stock the L’Oreal True Match Foundation, but for darker skin shades. If your skin is lighter, you could probably speack to the seller to get one in your shade for you. Alternatively, you can add the products best for your skin tone to your cart (after you take the quiz) and L’Oreal will direct you to online retailers where you can buy them. Amazon ships to Nigeria, so that’s probably your best bet.
