Adejare speaks on need to preserve environment
Nigerians have been urged to have zero tolerance for illegal trade in wildlife and sustain the environment.
Dr. Babatunde Samuel Adejare, Commissioner for Environment in Lagos State, said this at the yearly ‘Walk For Nature’ programme, with the theme: ‘Save Our Heritage,’ organised by the Lagos State government and the Ministry of Environment, in conjunction with the Nigerian Conservation Foundation, held at the State House in Marina.
Adejare, who represented Governor Akinwumi Ambode, appealed to the public to protect their environment, by keeping it clean and avoiding the pollution of water, which damages the ecosystem.
