The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said it has secured 140 convictions in the last six months, including in high-profile cases.

Acting Chairman of the commission, Ibrahim Magu, said this yesterday at a campaign held to sensitise Nigerians, especially school pupils on the need to tackle corruption from all facets.

The anti-graft agency boss enjoined Nigerians to imbibe the culture of ‘living with clean hands’ as a way of stamping out corruption from the society.

In his address titled “We Must Win The War on Corruption and Impunity” at the launch of what the commission tagged EFCC Clean Hands Campaign, Magu said the EFCC has measured up to the expectations of Nigerians.

Mr. Magu, addressing corruption at the level of children is a brilliant idea but you have to take it further than just a speech. Our morals have been so degraded that so many young people have no idea of the difference between right and wrong and grow up to be corrupt adults and don’t even know it. Please take this campaign to as many primary and secondary schools by having regular sessions and lectures in all the schools. These are our leaders of tomorrow and are the most important section of our population. Help them get out of this quagmire. Work with the ministry of education, both federal and states, to design and commence this program.

Brilliant idea. Please Mr. Magu extend the campaign to presidential cabinet.
