Concerning the effect of brain drain on our highly qualified personnel, measures can be put in place to ensure that individuals find it easier to return and contribute to the economy, even if for short durations.
For example, the NYSC scheme can be modified, such that a Nigerian in the diaspora who is willing to contribute to the improvement of the country is exempt. It is such barriers that have the cumulative effect of keeping the needed skills out of Nigeria, while also keeping our home-grown talents locked in foreign countries.
