The Nigeria Export-Import Bank (NEXIM) has said N5.8 billion of the N7 billion loans for exporters and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the North West is yet to be accessed.

The bank’s North West Regional Head, Waziri Albishir, made the disclosure at the weekend during the Non-oil Exporters Regional Dialogue, a United Kingdom Aid (UKAID) funded project under the Policy Development Facility (PDF) II in Kano.

He explained that only Kano State had made use of N1.2 billion of the facility in the last 12 months.
