Jurgen Klopp insists that even the people who sell the hot dogs outside Anfield need to be in their best shape for Liverpool’s huge title clash against Manchester City.

The Reds are six points clear at the top of the table and know a win over the champions would be an early statement. Klopp said ahead of the game: ‘We have to play our best game. Everyone in the stadium has to be in top shape.

“The guys who sell the hot dogs have to be in the best shape! That’s what I wish for. “Before we know if we get something from it, we invest everything.’Pep Guardiola set up his team to be more cautious in the 0-0 draw at Anfield last season and Klopp insists his side need to be courageous.

“If you are not brave against Man City you have no chance, not even a point. “Your positioning must be perfect, your protecting must be perfect. “There is a lot in the games like this. You cannot be as creative, offensive, you need a different formation. “If you have this formation and you lose the ball then the other team can lose that. It’s an interesting football game.”
