When David was going through a major crisis in his life, he humbled himself before the Lord and took his time to really pray. When he heard that Ahithophel was giving counsel to Absalom, his rebellious son, who drove him from the throne, he offered a simple but powerful prayer “O Lord… turn the counsel of Ahithophel to foolishness.” And God did so and delivered David from all his troubles.

What challenges are you facing right now? You can pray and God will give you victory. You do not need to fret and be anxious. You do not need to grumble and complain. Trust God with all your heart that He will intervene on your behalf. As you pray, expect Him to move and give you a definite answer. You will rejoice and glorify His name.

Right now, identify in very specific terms the challenges that have disturbed your heart. Be very clear about these challenges, and what you want God to do exactly about the situation.

Then, find a relevant word of God that promises your solution over each situation that you have identified. Take your time to meditate on these scriptures, letting them build strong faith in your heart.

After these two steps, take these challenges before God in prayer, asking specifically, that He does something for you, based on His word that you have read. Pray with faith and expectations, allowing the Holy Spirit to help you over each case.

After this, give thanks to God for His goodness in answering your prayers. The peace of God will keep your heart and mind to see definite and specific answers to your prayers because our God is faithful.

Therefore, give God thanks, sincerely, from the depth of your heart.
