Kebbi: We spent N32m to evacuate drainages, refuse

General Manager, Kebbi State Urban Development Authority (KUDA), Aliyu Umar said that 32 million Naira was used to evacuate waste in the State capital in order to avoid floods.

Addressing a press conference in his office on the activities of the Urban Authority yesterday, he said that with support of the Governor, KUDA has recorded tremendous achievements by blocking a lot of flood linkages across the state capital. Umar added that N10m was released for the maintainers of streetlights in the state capital, assuring that the government is working hard to extend same to the other emirates and zones across the state.

Also addressing newsmen yesterday, permanent secretary, ministry of works and Transport Alhaji Sani Bunza said the government is committed towards providing more infrastructures across the state most especially the rural areas where farmers will farm without any problems. He urged the people of the ministry to support him by carrying out ministry activities to the next level and ensure development reaches every part of the state.
