
He stated this when he visited the National Centre for Women Development (NCWD) yesterday in Abuja, saying the Swedish government was interested in issues of women and promotion of gender equality.
He said, “The Swedish government has a feministic foreign policy and women empowerment is a big priority for us.
“That is why we work with several multilateral organisations such as the United Nations (UN) to build partnerships and ensure women empowerment.”
Responding, Director General of NCWD, Mary Eta, said most ladies were receiving trainings in tiling and masonry, generator repairs and plant mechanic, refrigerator/air condition repairs, plumbing/pipe fitting and plaster of Paris (POP) classes at the centre.
